Kalaka for the building of the Bath in Homoródkarácsonyfalva
(in Hungarian, kaláka means the voluntary cooperative work of civil people or peasants)

Between 30th of August and 8th of September in 2006, the kaláka for the building of the Bath was organized and the project was carried out. The main task of the kaláka was to revive the one-time famous Dungó Bath. The reconstruction of the Bath is planned to be carried out completely in two years' time. This work is financially supported by the Council of Hargita County through its project for the development of smaller regions.

g

Thanks to this financial support, several constructions on the Bath's premises were built: a winewater basin with wooden covering, accompanied by changing cubicles, a bower with tables and seats, dustbins, toilets, information tables, and sacred symbols. During the construction work in 2006, the next stage of the works for 2007 was also prepared. In the evenings, after the daily work, there were performances, exhibitions, dance-lessons and dances offering an excellent opportunity for recreation.
